Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before using the Frolic and Footle website. By using the Frolic and Footle website, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. Any contract between Us, whether for use of the website or in relation to the purchase of products or services through the website, will be governed by UK law.
Frolic and Footle reserves the right to alter these Terms and Conditions at any time and will be updated in this website.
Frolic and Footle is the trading name of Lucy Osborn.
Use Of Website
Frolic and Footle shall not be liable to any person for any loss or damage, which may arise from the use of any of the information contained in any of the materials on this website. Some links in this website may lead to external websites, which are not under the control of Frolic and Footle. When you activate any of these links, you will leave the Frolic and Footle website. We have no control over these external links and websites and therefore and accept no responsibility or liability for the material contained on them. You must not use the website in any way that causes, or is likely to cause the website or access to it to be interrupted, damaged or impaired in any way.
All orders placed by “you” (The Customer) are subject to acceptance in agreement with the Terms and Conditions outlined below as provided by “us” (Frolic & Footle).
By placing an order with Frolic & Footle, you have agreed to pay for the goods at the prices shown, as well as any stated delivery charges. We will send you an email to acknowledge that we have received your order and it is being processed, but this is not to confirm that we have accepted your offer to purchase from our website. Once dispatched, you will receive an email letting you know that the order is on its way to you. Only then will a contract between You and Frolic & Footle exist and the contract be considered accepted and complete.
In the event that there is a problem with your order, we will notify you using the details you provided. In the unlikely event of your ordered product being out of stock, we will offer you an exchange or refund. If agreed by you and us, we may be able to fulfil your order at a later date when stock is received.
All prices and transactions are shown in GBP £ British Pound Sterling. You (the buyer) will be liable for any exchange rate charges made by your card provider. The Frolic and Footle website uses the secure payment portal, Paypal, to accept payment for orders which processes the card details on our behalf via its secure site. We accept all major credit and debit cards. Frolic and Footle does not store the credit card details for any of our customers – we use a third party payment gateway (Paypal) to ensure the highest level of security for our customers.
Customs and Taxes
Currently, we only ship within the UK. However, if items do find themselves in other locations outside the United Kingdom, import duties and taxes may be incurred once your Goods reach their destination. Frolic and Footle is not responsible for these charges and we undertake to make no calculations or estimates in this regard. If you are buying internationally, you are advised to contact your local customs authorities for further details on costs and procedures. As the purchaser of the Goods, you will also be the importer of record and as such should ensure that your purchase is in full compliance with the laws of the country into which the Goods are being imported.
Please be aware that Goods may be inspected on arrival at port for customs purposes and Frolic and Footle cannot guarantee that the packaging of your Goods will be free from signs of damage.
Descriptions and Pricing of Goods
Frolic and Footle makes every effort to describe and price goods accurately on the website. Any inaccuracies are unintentional. We reserve the right to withdraw any products from this website at any time and/or remove or edit any materials or content on this website. Where appropriate, you may be required to select the required size, colour, fit, style, number or other features of the Goods that you are purchasing.
All prices shown are displayed in GBP £ British Pound Sterling. Prices may change over time and without notice. We reserve the right to amend errors or update information on the Frolic and Footle website at any time without notice. We may cancel or refuse any orders of incorrectly priced items. In this instance, a full refund will be given if payment has been taken.
All items are subject to availability. We will inform you by email or phone if any products you order turn out to be unavailable or if delivery time will be longer than stated.
Images & Photography
Frolic and Footle aim to produce high quality images of all products on our website and represent colours as accurately as possible. Please be aware that the colours seen by you may vary depending on the device that the image is being viewed on. Please contact us if you are unsure or ask for a fabric sample to be sent.
Each lampshade is individually made-to-order or a bespoke order, therefore, the exact positioning of the fabric pattern may differ to the photograph on our website. The pattern on the seams on the lampshade join may also not match up. If there is a certain aspect or colouring of the fabric that you require, please let us know when ordering.
Please read the user instructions that comes with your ordered item carefully. We recommend using energy saving lightbulbs with our lampshades. Lampshades ordered for a ceiling fit should be hung vertically. Our lampshades are not suitable for use with a naked flame. Our lampshades are made by applying fabric to a PVC backing. The PVC backing is designed for lampshades and has passed the Glow-Wire
Flammability Test – BS EN 60695-2-1: 1996 (Fire Hazard Testing).
Your Right To Cancel
Under the UK Distance Selling Regulations, you have 14 days from the receipt of goods to cancel your order of any item except for made-to-order items and bespoke order items. As such, these items are exempt from cancellation unless faulty or damaged. Please see our Returns Policy for more information or contact us at email@example.com if you have any queries.
We reserve the right to cancel purchases without stating reasons, for any reason prior to processing payment and dispatch. If purchases are cancelled for any reason prior to dispatch you will be refunded any monies paid in relation to those purchases.If you
terminate your order on any non-dispatched purchases, they will be cancelled and you will be refunded any monies paid in relation to those purchases. If you wish to cancel an order, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org. If the order has already been dispatched, please follow the returns procedure.
Enter any valid discount code at the Checkout to receive the discount. Discount codes cannot be used in conjunction with each other.
Returns – Made-to-order and bespoke items
We hope that you are really happy with your Frolic and Footle purchase. All of our lampshades are either made-to-order or bespoke orders and are therefore nonreturnable unless faulty or damaged.
Every item is inspected before being carefully packaged to ensure our high standards are met. Should your item not reach you in perfect condition, please notify us by email within 7 days of delivery at email@example.com. Please include a description and photos of the issue, as well as your order number If the product is found to be faulty or damaged, we will either replace or refund the item.
If the original item is to be returned to us, it must be returned within 14 days of delivery, in the original packaging and securely wrapped. We recommend sending any returns by recorded delivery so that you have a proof of postage. We will reimburse this postage cost if the product is found to be faulty or damaged. Upon receipt, we will either provide a replacement product or refund the cost of the item, including the original and return postage amounts. If you have any questions feel free to contact us.
Returns – All other items
We hope that you are really happy with your Frolic and Footle purchase. However, if you change your mind about your purchase, we offer a 14 day refund policy on all non made-to-order or bespoke order items.
If you are returning an item because you have changed your mind: please notify us by email within 7 days of delivery at firstname.lastname@example.org. You are responsible for the return postage cost. When returning the item to us, it must be returned within 14 days of delivery, in the original packaging and securely wrapped. We recommend sending any returns by recorded delivery so that you have a proof of postage. Upon receipt of the returned item in perfect condition, we will refund the purchase price less the cost of the original postage. The item is your responsibility until it reaches us. Therefore for your own protection, we recommend that you send the parcel using a delivery service that insures you for the value of the goods and that you have a proof of postage.
If you are returning the item because it is faulty or damaged: Every item is inspected before being carefully packaged to ensure our high standards are met. To ensure you are as satisfied with your purchase, please measure your space carefully before ordering to ensure the items that you order are the correct size. We are happy to send out fabric samples and provide advice so do contact us if you would need more information before ordering.
We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. Please see above sections on how to return faulty or damaged items.

All of our lampshades are made-to-order or bespoke order items so please allow 1-2 weeks for dispatch (not including postage time) from the date of your order. Please note that dispatch estimates are not guaranteed dispatch times and should not be relied upon as such.
We use either Royal Mail 2nd Class Recorded Delivery or Courier (Hermes) 3 working day delivery. You will be notified by email when your order is dispatched.
Currently, we only ship within the UK. Please contact us for shipping prices to the Highlands, Islands and BFPO with the UK.
All Content included on the Frolic and Footle website, unless uploaded by Users, including, but not limited to, text, graphics, logos, icons, images, sound clips, video clips, data compilations, page layout, underlying code and software is the property of Frolic and Footle, our affiliates or other relevant third parties. By continuing to use the website you acknowledge that such material is protected by applicable United Kingdom and International intellectual property and other laws.
Third Party Intellectual Property: Unless otherwise expressly indicated, all Intellectual Property rights including, but not limited to, Copyright and Trademarks, in product images and descriptions belong to the manufacturers or distributors of such products as may be applicable.
